We've talked about it in the past. Now let's do it.

Let's name the Top 5 bootlegs for each tour, with as many as 5 more suggestions. The sound has to be pretty damn good for a boot to make the list, but sound quality is not the sole criteria. We'll weigh in the performance (i.e., the energy level, the setting, the setlist, etc.) because that matters, too. Otherwise we'd all be listening to the Atlanta Rising boot, which won't even make the list.

I'll keep a running list here at the top of what the consensus seems to be for each tour. It will change, of course.
Anybody who wants other ideas can probably dig through this thread someday for suggestions that fell short. There are going to be a lot of excellent boots that don't make the list.
So let's get started.

This is the 'Magic' tour thread, covering the dates 2007-10-02 to 2008-08-30.

...to have just one thing, just one thing in your whole life that you do that makes you proud of yourself, I don't think that's too much for anybody to ask...

I'd add Barcelona Magic Night, great show, fantastic crowd, not a stelar sound though

Where was this first uploaded? Torrent/abms? Don't think I've even heard of this one!

I'll check my home computer tonight to see the origins of this one.

2008-08-13 by Big Ray to ABMS, no doubt a BT site prior.

Notes: My first upload here. I have recorded also the second Helsinki 2003 show, so if people are interested I can upload that later as well. It has not circulated before.

I was in the back of the pit, right in front of the right speaker stack so it was VERY loud. I think that's the reason the bass is a bit rough at times but nothing major. Sound is pretty good, I would say the best of the Helsinki recordings so far.
I'm working on to modify the capsules to make them handle higher SPLs so hopefully the next one won't be rough with the bass.

PLEASE DO NOT UPLOAD THIS ON DIME! I will do it myself after this is finished (I need to improve my ratio there).

Feel free to share but DO NOT SELL!

Enjoy,
queengrooves

A couple of years late for this thread :-) But I suppose it's never too late ...

Anyway, I may be partial as I attended this show, but I really find the Antwerp show to be quite something. Just listened to it again this morning, and again I was a bit surprised how great the band and the show was.

Tremendous show, great setlist (So Young And In Love, Thundercrack, Trapped, Sandy ...). It was released on Antwerpen Magic Night (CC 896-98).
