Brad Serling from nugs.net has confirmed on twitter this week that there is another archive release planned this year. Unfortunately no word so far which show it'll be.

Q: "When is the next Springsteen archive coming?"

"Not til we finish the Europe tour - certainly in time for the holidays."

So, what will it be? There are still quite some gaps:

  • There is no show from the HT/LT era (do we need that?).
  • No show from the '96 GoTJ solo tour.
  • Reunion tour is missing. We have Live from NYC, but it's not a complete show...
  • Seeger Sessions Tour is missing
  • Magic Tour is missing
  • Working on a Dream Tour is missing

Also I would love to see a descent show from 2012. The Apollo show was an important one (first without C if I recall right) but not the full power of summer 2012.

I don't think we need any thing from Joad.   I can't imagine them sounding as good, seriously, as Cirkus Night.  The soundboard official releases they've done from the tour (b-sides come to mind) are dry.  CC's sound on that tour was so warm.

I really hope that his book will inspire him to dig a little further into the catalog...'73-'74 shows in particular.  And of course, '76-'77.  Amazing years...Red Bank!
