Check out the samples before purchasing. Personally, I think it sounds horrible.
From the comments so far, I'm wondering if something happened in the mastering and if they'll temporarily pull it until it's fixed.
Lots of negative comments alright, though the tone of some is as hysterical as one would expect from the people posting. The setlist is pretty special on this one, so I hope they post a better mix.
Has someone here on the board listen to this stuff and can tell something about the sound?
If it's really that annoying I hope Bruce Inc. will correct this.
I just bought the CD`s... Hope they are much better the samples on the website? Anyone here have the lossless download?
IIRC the official clip for NYCS from that night was mixed by Bob Clearmountain. I wonder why Bruce Inc. haven't used his skills this time because the sound on this one to my ears is very good.
New York City Serenade - Rome, July 11, 2013
Seems that the issue is now checked by nugs.net.
From twitter today (Nov. 13):
"Thanks for your feedback on @Springsteen Rome 2013. We hear you LOUD and CLEAR - this is an ongoing process and we value your feedback."
I have been known to say that about FOH sound quality over the past couple of decades. . .
That's good news.
I did note that the comment section on live.brucespringsteen.net for the show was removed.
From the official site:
PLEASE NOTE: We are remixing this show and will repost when remixing and remastering is complete. All fans who bought the original mix will be able to download the new mix for free.
Yes... the made sure all the songs were there and in the right order!
A month ago this show went offline and it was announced that it will be remixed. Does anybody know when it will be ready and online?
Until then the full Tempe 1980 show should be released. Or did Bob only finish the parts needed for the video (which sounds amazing) and the rest will be in the vaults forever?
Yeah how does a dumb Luddite get the bob c Tempe audio ?
http://sourceforge.net/projects/audacity/
You can record anything that is playing on your computer's soundcard with Audacity.
I don't believe Bob C is on staff, like Toby et al. Bob does a lot of work for a lot of artists. To ask him to do all of Rome is a) expensive, and b) going to be at a higher quality than what Bruce's contract says these shows should/would be. That said, Rome was just horrible. I'm sure that when they do re-release it, it'll sound a little better...but I wouldn't hold my breath for a Bob C full show of Rome.
Thanks Julius
Let me know if you need to know the settings to capture a stream.
it was easy to rip bluray
Seems that the new version of Roma '13 is coming soon.
From twitter yesterday (Dec 16, 2016):
The remixed version is now available. Let's hope they've fixed the sound issues.

Yeah he's not too shabby
I have my download now, don't know how it sounds in comparison to the first mix, but...
how is it possible to mix an Italian show and forget to mix the audience in? Listen to the crowd singing part of Waiting On A Sunny Day or Thunder Road or to every ending of a song.
A great show, but without hearing the audience no atmosphere at all (which without any doubt was there that night in Rome).
I'm a little bit disappointed!
I was there, they were loud, sang along with gusto (Italian, right ) and were definitely part of the show's ambiance. I don't have the download so I can't say if it's been affected by lack of crowd sounds, but being there with people who were so obviously passionate and enthusiastic about Bruce -- NYCS was beyond anything I'd ever experienced, with the violins- was an integral part of the experience.
need the whole show released on audio
ok posted inw rong section - menat this for tempe
