We didn't make the pit tonight. The two Seven Angels signs that Bruce grabbed were from others in the pit. And he took them on purpose so there may be a chance. The crowd in the seats was dead and only stood up twice before the encores for badlands and when Cindy does her usual urging of come together & rise up. The main set was unusual to say the least. The encores got the crowd into it all the way through to the end and saved the show for the locals. I was up here in Albany with PeterNFCa and his beautiful wife Debbie and our buddy FrankM.
We are going to Hershey together in the morning, stopping to pick up Ally.

I woke up this am frustrated missing out on Mohegan sun yet again and I started to get ready for work. Got on my bike to go to the train station when I decided, fuck it Albany is only three hours away... Hit BTX and pulled a half day at work.
I think there was a ton of energy in my section but that might have just been me. The set was odd, it burned and kicked serious ass in the beginning, kind of clunked towards the end. The signs kind of killed the momentum I think. The band was on fire I thought. I really like Tom Morello on stage.
Some jerk had a sign for rumble doll, and Patti wasn't even there. The multiple choice sign was Incident, Mary's Place and Red Headed Woman. Bad sign. He only came out to the second stage for tenth.
Overall it was one of the better shows I've seen but a lot of that might have something to do with the good tickets and being in a sweet spot for sound. I've been to a ton of shows so the covers were cool because it was something different but if this was my only Bruce show I'd be s little upset.

I made the pit, #44, 975 was the number out of 1800 and I was about 4 back, dead center.
I was lucky as the large guy in front of me let me go ahead of him (I'm short) and the section I was in was really into the show. No jerkoff wannabes, just longtime fans and pit veterans.
Great energy, Bruce was strong and clearly having fun. I can't say enough about Tom Morrello. He totally owned Joad, what an amazing performance.
A highlight for me was the letter from a fan requesting "Save the Last Dance for Me" for his mother. It was such a sweet moment, and the Mom is clearly in love with Bruce - her facial expression was disbelief, rapture and ecstasy at this dream come true; she even kissed him on the lips!
I loved the segue from The Wall to BITUSA, a song I'm not really a fan of. Ramrod was fun, and unexpected. Disappointed at no crowd surfing, as I was close enough to have copped a cheap feel
But the moment I'll never forget was when the lights came up, and the crowd was leaving. Bruce came back on the stage and just looked around, taking it all in. As I was in the front of the pit, I was last to leave and saw him. I smiled at him, he saw me and smiled back. I said, "I love you, Bruce!" and he pointed at me, smiled and then blew me a kiss.
It' s moments like this that make all the difference.

Hope that's not what it was.But it reads that way for sure.
I'm not sure. But this tour is 2 years old and I really do think it's the end of an era. I hope not but this has to be taking its toll on everyone.

I don't know why he came out, but he had this look of satisfaction on his face, so I'd guess he was realizing that after 2 long years of seeing the world, it was all coming to an end. The word "bittersweet" comes to mind.
