On Monday, New Jersey citizen Tom Whitley shared a post on Facebook that included a photo of himself and Springsteen. Whitley explained he wasn’t able to buy tickets on Ticketmaster and StubHub’s inflated prices weren’t an option either. Whitley ran into Springsteen, known for being approachable, and complained about the difficulty of getting tickets.
Whitley wrote that Springsteen said: “Well, I guess that’s good for me and bad for you.” Springsteen then took Whitley’s phone number and told him he’d get tickets.
“I also won’t care if I don’t get that call. The one on one was enough for me,” Whitley wrote.
