A rare piece of Bruce Springsteen memorabilia has hit the market.
Handwritten lyrics to "Ballad of a Self-Loading Pistol," an unreleased track written during the early '70s, is now available on the online auction house website Paddle8.
The starting bid for this early-era Bruce collectible is $2,000.
Some Boss diehard will surely snatch up these lyrics, to a song that didn't make the cut for "Greetings From Asbury Park, N.J." or "The Wild, The Innocent and the E Street Shuffle."
But is a piece of notebook paper with Springsteen's ink on it really worth the same as a new computer or a roundtrip ticket to Europe? Maybe the original sheets for iconic tracks like "Born To Run" or "Thunder Road," but what about for an unreleased song?
