Kind of place made for people to break their legs if not careful after an 18-hour monsoon! Fuck that, see you indoors in Sunrise on Tuesday!

Well I'm now sitting in Atlanta, body clock all over the place hoping there is no monsoon before tonight's gig! Here's to a good week of three shows (FL and Tampa), some sun and cold beer!

Hello Todd

everything's alright in wonderful Seattle?

Maybe you're right that we'll see something special tonight because in the past Atlanta got quite some world premieres:

Further On (Up The Road) and American Skin (41 Shots) in 2000

Sad Eyes and Valentine's Day in 2005

Some information from twitter for those who'll go to the show:

"Parking opens at 3:30pm in both Pryor and Lakewood lots. Parking is $25 in Pryor lot. $10 in Lakewood paved lot. Free parking in Lakewood gravel lot, per Lakewood security guard."

Weather here is finally turning to the good.but always room for more rain...

There is a reason this state is called

WASH ington

well I mentioned the Saint songs due to the fact the pope is naming two new Saints this weekend.

We shared 5 appetizers and desert, plus a couple of very strong drinks.  Oysters, mussels, shrimp, softs shell crabs, chicken wings, haddock potatoes ending with chocolate cream pie.  So I doubt I'll be hanging around long.

She said last night she read those letters...
And they made her feel one hundred years old...

The Atlanta show was everything Raleigh wasn't. Something was obviously very different last night for Bruce.

I was on the lawn with my son (quite a reasonable price for these tickets) - far from the action. It seemed to me like the stage setup was a bit different for these outdoor venues. Bruce only ventured out into the crowd once (during Tenth Ave). There was no crowd surfing tonight.

Yes, the shows was a little short, but they made up for it ten other ways. There is a noise ordinance for this venue. Maybe they did not want to break it.

That being said, this was a set list I used to only dream about.

They definitely sound checked something different. I did not recognize the tune and it did not get played at the show, but it sounded good.

Bruce confessed early on that The River was on his mind. He might have dashed some hopes in the audience by not playing the title track, but we've all heard that one before. I was excited by all the other possibilities and Bruce DID NOT disappoint.

Independence Day way just brilliant to hear and such a surprise in the set. I love Tough Than the Rest. It sounded great. Cadillac Ranch and Ramrod were the icing on the cake. Drive All Night made my night and then I was proud to teach my son the words to Highway to Hell.

The band was in top form and the sound crew was almost at 100%. I think there was a blip of feedback once in the show.

Get this recording, people! This was a strange venue for Bruce in Atlanta, but we definitely got an above average show. One of the most memorable I've seen here.

Sound check song was 'all or nothin' played it thru 3 or 4 times. It was one hell of show, worth the ticket for drive, Indy & point blank, that said gotj & seeds were also fantastic.

note for Rick; Bruce was singing drive to patti at one point, looking fwd to how u will woo her! If I bump into her in FL or Tampa then I will ensure I pass on your details!

One day, hopefully while we are still alive our children will realize what these moments meant to us.

CJ, great review and VERY cool with your son in video. You are spot on that something was different, but still a great show by Bruce. I was on rail in middle of runner stage at Pit back figuring much time to be spent there by Bruce due to the lawn and it being an Amphitheater venue. That didn't pan out as planned ..........not a fan friendly performance from Bruce but a kick-keister setlist.

Faith was not rewarded for one sign holder which contained a "Devil Went Down to Georgia" request.......amazingly had it up even during 10th Ave Freeze-Out! Would say this parallels to a CDB fan holding up a Jungleland sign at a CDB concert?
