Friends of Beth's from Australia were in town. We had to entertain.
Well, I never saw a SSB show and this one was sort of close. Not a bad set for a festival, but mediocre for me until Fogerty came up and got the crowd really going. John and Bruce sounded great together. You could tell the regulars were not manning the video cameras. Oh, it's a Morello solo? Let's show Bruce's side profile.
I absolutely loved being at Jazz Fest. The whole atmosphere, the amazing music and the food - holy shit. It all got me in the mood for SSB flashback. It all fit together quite well. The blocks parties after outside the venue were a highlight for me. I wanted to stay longer to check them out, but couldn't.
I was with family and friends, so I had to keep my distance from the stage. The crowd was milk toast at best where I was. Many people just there because it was cool. Not a lot of real fans around me. It was, to say the least, a sea of humanity.
Glad I saw the show and Fogerty, but it was the larger Jazz Fest that will stick with me the most. I'd go back even if Bruce doesn't.
Thanks CJ for the last two songs and the review. And the pics.

Also, this show had no audibles, no sign collection, no requests, etc. However, during Dancinf in the Dark, Bruce did collect one sign from the front and showed it to the camera: "Please dance with old people." He then brought the older woman who made the sign up on stage.
I forgot yesterday
so today will be a big
