Gov. Chris Christie

PORT MONMOUTH — Gov. Chris Christie said he holds out hope that one day Bruce Springsteen will be his friend.

At a town hall meeting in Port Monmouth today,  a member of a local VFW stood up and told Christie he had an important request: “When you go home tonight would you please destroy all of your Bruce Springsteen CDs? He’s not a friend of yours.”

“The CDs could be destroyed. I have it all on my iPhone now,” Christie said.

Springsteen recently song a parody of “Born to Run” with Jimmy Fallon.

The song, called "Governor Chris Christie's Fort Lee, New Jersey Traffic Jam,” mocked the controversial lane closures at the George Washington Bridge.

"You're killing the working man/who's stuck in Governor Christie's Fort Lee, New Jersey traffic jam," Fallon and Springsteen sung during the duet on late night television.

Asbury Park vet to Chris Christie: "Destroy your Bruce Springsteen CDs'A member of VFW Post 1333 in Asbury Park tells New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie - a huge Bruce Springsteen fan - to destroy his Springsteen CD's. The request came during a town hall meeting in Port Monmouth, NJ five weeks after Springsteen appeared on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon and lampooned the scandal surrounding Christie's administration closure of George Washington Bridge local lanes in September, 2013. “I don’t think I ever been under the illusion as a Bruce fan, of his music, that that meant that he and I were necessarily simpatico on a number of other issues,” Christie said.

Christie said, “I still live in hope that someday, even as he gets older and older, he’s going to wake up and go, ‘Yeah, maybe he’s a good guy. He’s alright, you know. We can be friends.’”

“I think we get attached to certain people as youngsters, which I did, it's hard to kind of let that go," Christie said. "So you are probably giving me wise, sage counsel that I should accept but my heart keeps telling me not to."

I'll never forget how the late Great Senator from New Jersey, Frank Lautenberg, described our Governor: " He's the King of the Liars".  No truer words have ever been spoken.

The Crime Rate is up in all the inner cities

Property Taxes are up everywhere

Unemployment is up

He hasn't helped our state one bit.

Take a look at where NJ stands in all the state polls as far as taxes, places to retire etc.

NJ is just a stepping stone for him.

He's all Pomp and no cirumstances.

Benghazi happened because the CIA was running guns out of the back of the compound, and Stevens did not want a heavy security presence to arouse suspicion. He even turned down offers for increased military security in the months before the attack. Furthermore, there were issues of security jurisdiction between the U.S. and the Libyans. And it did not help that the Republican-led House had cut $300 million from the embassy security budget.

Get blueballs all you want trying to pin this on Hillary, but too bad that 6 Republican Senators signed off on the recent Senate report debunking the Fox News crazy conspiracies.

As for Christie, can't wait for his RICO trial. Hell, the daily revelations of corruption and political bullying are about as entertaining as it gets in politics.

I'm not pinning this on Hillary.  But she allowed the terrorist attack to be blamed on a youtube video, when she knew it was a lie.  There is such a vacuum of leadership these days, I'm not surprised that nobody can recognize it anymore.  And who said anything about Fox News?  Oh, that's right.  I'm conservative...so I must watch Fox News.  That's intelligent.

So a post about Chris Christie and Bruce degenerates into petty bickering about Hillary Clinton. In the first place, neither Christie or Hillary will ever become President and secondly stick to the original topic. The sentence I found most intriguing was

“The CDs could be destroyed. I have it all on my iPhone now,” Christie said.

So the guy is satisfied with shitty MP3s of all the albums. That's a good reason not to vote for him. If he said he still has the vinyl so who cares about the CDs would improve his regular guy image.

"I've done my best to live the right way"

Lol I like  the way you thought thsy tjrough

Typically, you make a charge against Hillary that is based on lies and distortions created by Karl Rove about Hicks' testimony and Hillary's statements. Please proceed Julius, trotting out that steaming pile of crap. Not to mention, the only vacuum of leadership is in the intra-party war between the Teabaggers and the Establishment.
