There are rumors both on BTX and from Stan Goldstein on facebook that Bruce and the ESB will be playing SNL on Dec. 19, 2015.

No confirmation until now but usually Stan Goldstein is a pretty reliable source.

When Stan speaks, others listen.

The rumors have made semi mainstream media outlets now:

From: Ultimate Classic Rock.

Bruce Springsteen may be making another visit to Saturday Night Live.

While nothing has been officially confirmed as of this writing, inside sources suggest Springsteen and the E Street Band have booked an appearance as the show’s musical guest for the final episode of the calendar year, which is set to air Dec. 19. This would mark Springsteen’s third tour of duty as an SNL performer, after visits on May 9, 1992, and Dec. 5, 2002.

The Dec. 19 episode will tape shortly after the arrival of The Ties That Bind: The River Collection, a new box that offers a comprehensive look at Springsteen’s studio work during the period leading up to the release of The River, as well as live footage from a widely bootlegged show on the tour and a new retrospective documentary. In advance of the set’s scheduled Dec. 4 release, fans have already been treated to two videos: first, a clip of the band running through “Ramrod,” followed by a performance of the “The River,” which you can check out below.

Springsteen has stayed largely out of the spotlight in 2015, but if it comes to pass, the SNL show will be his second high-profile gig in recent weeks. Extending a long-running tradition, he appeared at this year’s Stand Up for Heroes benefit concert, delivering an acoustic set peppered with dirty jokes and egging on bidders during an auction that netted hundreds of thousands for a prize package that included a pair of signed guitars, show tickets and backstage passes, and a meal with the band that will include his mom’s lasagna.

Good performance,  awful audio mix. Ties that Bind sounded like one of Gary's IEMs from the Rising tour. Guitars and Drums were buried all I heard was Bass and Keyboard...

Yeah agree, mix wasn't great and especially on Ties...

Cheers,
