A little over ten years ago as some of you may remember, I was the surprise recipient of a Traumatic Brain Injury that left me in rough shape. Simple things like walking, conversing and reading became a struggle for me. Despite the setbacks, I fought hard to regain some of what I had lost. This week, I am proudly releasing my first book, A Lonely Aura of Justice.

A Lonely Aura of Justice introduces Charlie, a police officer who was brutally attacked and left with a traumatic brain injury. Through his search for the culprits, we see how he has adjusted to his new reality, gaining insight into the world of brain injury survivors while exploring the mystery surrounding Charlie’s assault.

The book is supplemented by a companion blog that reveals the real life struggles that birthed my novel. This release is an amazing personal victory for me and I am really excited with the opportunity to share my experiences.

Happy Thanksgiving JP.  I'm sure I will love reading this.  If I recall correctly, back when this happened you told us it was just a scratch and minimized your  injuries.   I had no idea.
