Most book-store author tour events don't feature one of the biggest rock stars on the planet.

But that's what the Tattered Cover Book Store's Colfax Avenue flagship location will be offering Nov. 30 when Bruce Springsteen drops by at noon to greet fans and hand out autographed copies of his new autobiography, "Born to Run."

Tickets to the event ($32.50 plus tax and fees) will go on sale Tuesday, Nov. 22, at 10 a.m. MT online via EventBrite.com.

News flash: They'll go quickly. (Tickets will not be offered at the store and you will not get in without a ticket; only one ticket per person.)

Tickets include a pre-signed copy of the book as well as a chance to get your picture taken with the Boss.

The Tattered Cover advises that:

  • "Event is a brief meet & greet with photo-op only." In other words, don't expect Springsteen to perform.Ticket holders will need to be in line by 8 a.m. on the day of the event.
  • Tickets are non-transferable; you'll need to bring your ID.
  • Springsteen will not be signing anything "live" at the store (the books will be pre-signed).
  • No selfies; a Tattered Cover employee will take the picture with your camera or phone.
  • No bags, purses, backpacks, coats (or anything else besides a camera or phone that you can't stuff in your pockets) will be allowed.

Springsteen last performed in Denver on March 31 at the Pepsi Center.

You can get there later but you'll have a longer wait and remember if you get there at the latest time designated, you may miss him.  If they finish the line early, Bruce tends to leave early.  So I wouldn't dare arrive at the end, if so it's at your own risk.

This is why they give us Vacation days.   Good luck.

Congratulations guys.  I know it was an exciting day.

Sawyer you're supposed to be smiling like the Doc . What'd you say to The Boss, both of you are very serious looking.

I was talking the whole time. I have 6 pics that are kinda blurry and look bad because I'm in various stages of congratulating him on the medal of freedom, said thanks for doing this today, and thanks for all the music. He said thanks and you're welcome, thanks for coming out and that was it.

It was fast but amazing. Great day. I respect him even more now as he doesn't have to do this book tour. Meeting the loonies? Is he nuts?  It was $38 total. Signed book, a handshake, and a picture. Cathartic end to Springsteen 2016. Saw the Buffalo show, next night went to my dad's wake, next night Rochester. In March my brother flew to Denver to see the show with me - on what would have been my dad's 85th birthday.

So, what's next?

Sorry to hear about your father, my condolences.

Every day with our parents alive is a blessing now.  My Dad turns 89 in the very near future.  He still has his health and still gets around, thank God.  I'm taking him and my Mom to dinner tomorrow night.

Also sorry you didn't hook up with us in Rochester but it's understandable.
