MSG General Admission Lottery Procedure

Please see details below regarding policies and procedures for #TheRiverTourNYC shows’ GA Lottery. The “lottery” allows holders of general admission tickets a random chance to enter the forward barricade area on the floor, closest to the stage. This is entirely optional and can be disregarded by GA ticket holders who do not wish to enter the lottery for a chance to be placed in the forward barricade.

1) On the day of the show, sequentially numbered wristbands will be distributed beginning at 2:00PM. This will take place at 33rd & 8th Vestibule – corner of 33rd St and 8th Ave, adjacent to the Penn Station entrance. Wristbands will be distributed until 5:00PM. (After 5:00PM, additional lottery/floor wristbands will not be distributed until after doors are open.)

2) Patrons must be present and in possession of their GA ticket to receive a wristband. Only one wristband per patron will be issued.

3) After the patron’s ticket has been verified as a GA ticket. A wristband will be issued and affixed to the patron’s wrist.

4) Anyone who receives a numbered wristband prior to doors, has an equal chance to be first in line to enter the Front Area. A wristband does not guarantee a place in the Front Area.

5) Patrons who have received a wristband may leave the premises. They must return by 5:00PM.

6) Patrons who received a wristband and are present for the drawing must be ready to enter the venue. This means they should not be carrying any prohibited items with them. e.g. backpacks/ large bags, cameras, recording devices etc… If there are any questions regarding prohibited items, please check with venue
staff prior to the drawing.

7) A starting number will be randomly picked by a patron. This number will be announced at 33rd & 8th Vestibule – corner of 33rd St and 8th Ave, adjacent to the Penn Station entrance.

8) The patron wearing the wristband that matches the starting number will be first in line. All participants are requested to remain in sequential order. Venue entry and security screening may begin as soon as immediately following the drawing. Patrons will be directed by tour and venue staff through this process.

9) All patrons with GA tickets and a wristband who wish to enter according to the lottery, need to remain present to be processed and escorted into the venue. Failure to be present for drawing, or not remaining throughout the lottery entry process will result in forfeiture of lottery position.

10) Once inside the venue, a second wristband will be issued to identify those who are within the winning range. This is required to enter the Front GA Area.

Have fun and see you at the show! #TheRiverTourNYC

This afternoon has been a rollercoaster emotionally. Our plane from Amsterdam tomorrom got cancelled due to the weather. It is totally chaos, but with the help of a extremely service minded worker at the KLM helpdesk we got seats at a fight from Amsterdam on sunday morning. Departing early and landing at noon. Many people have problems getting there and I really feel with them. Stay safe and have a nice trip.

BTW, if you look at Desa's 1st picture, on the right side next to the T-Mobile sign there is an awning for an entrance to Penn Station. Across the street and a little further up the block is Cafe 31, a  nice large restaurant/bar owned by friends of mine. My headquarters for Rangers games, and where we will meet(if you'd like) if you happen to make it Sunday or Wednesday.

Nope, it was 12.12.12:

Setlist: LAND OF HOPE AND DREAMS - PEOPLE GET READY / WRECKING BALL / MY CITY OF RUINS - JERSEY GIRL / BORN TO RUN (with Jon Bon Jovi)

After that Bruce joined U2 on 2015-07-31:

I STILL HAVEN'T FOUND WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR / STAND BY ME

My problem here on Long Island will be getting out of my driveway and to the railroad - my guess is that the LIRR will be running by showtime tomorrow, but I will still be stuck in my driveway. Due to some health problems, I cannot help my wife dig out, and our little electric snowblower won't be much help.

Good luck to everyone!

No sign so far that this show will be postponed.

From the MSG website:

http://www.thegarden.com/event...uce-springsteen.html

Madison Square Garden rarely cancels or postpones events due to inclement weather. Please be advised that tickets for all events are sold on a non-refundable, non-exchangeable basis. This stipulation is clearly marked on each ticket. Should a decision be made to cancel or postpone an event, this information will be posted immediately on our website, www.thegarden.com as well as on our main information telephone line at 212-465-6741.

Please continue to check our website and call 212-465-6741 for the latest, up-to-the-minute information.

Sincerely,

The Madison Square Garden Company

From twitter today (Jan 23):

Q: @nilslofgren any update on if show is on for tomorrow? Flew in from Florida to see you guys - hope it stays on!

Nils Lofgren@nilslofgren

As far as I know it is still on.

Given Nils had to cancel his own tour I am not sure what he knows!

It worries me that  cancelling is  not fair on those flying in. Going ahead will not be fair on locals that are snowed in.  Is  it feasible to add a show  at the end of the tour for those ticket holders that can't make tomorow?

I live across "The River" in North New Jersey and I could not get there if the show was tonight.  There is a travel ban in parts of NY and NJ, and all public transportation has been or is about to be shut down indefinitely.

That being said, I doubt the 500-1000 or so fans who flew in from somewhere for this show is a major concern of Bruce Inc., MSG, or Live Nation. But if the majority of the fans, who are coming from NYC, NJ, Long Island, upstate NY, and Conn. can't get there, then what?

It will be sometime in April, on a night the Rangers aren't trying to win The Cup!

Should be early April then.

Last I heard the Caps hadn't made it out of the 2nd round since 1998 when they got swept by the RedWings. BTW, that was the ONLY time they ever got past the 2nd round, except once in '90.

Awful long time, Ovie there for all of it too.
