I didn't know it was yet another event...

That changes every thing. Could be another HRC night after all.

Maybe that's why the LAPD are there on Sunday...crowd control...

like that will work. They can't control crowds here in LA they think they can over there...

Why has he done so many events over there?

Is that normal and if so

why???

Seems he could book his own venue by himself for a show rather then share stage time with other groups.

cuts on his stage time.

You hardly ever hear him doing events over here in the U.S.

He did that one in New Orleans last year.

And of course I don't count the benefit stuff like the Sandy relief show.

Just strange they book him on so many over there. I know it's a way to get other fans to hear him so it does do good... just weird.

Saturday will be WIESS

Sunday will be Greetings

From last nights setlist he was supposed to do half of WIESS but changed it on stage...that's twice he's done that now. So they want to play it..Just gets a different vibe from the crowd and does a change.

I think he's going to save The River for S.America

if he plays it at all.

It's possible.  I like WIES and GREETINGS so Bruce if you read this let's do it  If he does he can take all 20 bottles

I'll stop drinkin' Weissbier.........

I am deeply regretting my decision to swerve Ireland.

Much as Cardiff and Leeds were spectacular performances, great venues and amazing set lists, I didn't get a personal WTF moment (Unlike the Essex Boy Taper who sobbed through Thundercrack!)

I fear those moments are going to be at these last two shows.

If you get a full band For You, Kitty’s Back, NYC Serenade, The Fever, Stolen Car (Tracks version)  or  The Price You Pay ....Enjoy!!!!

naah, look at it this way, says another swerver

is this a way to close the most profitable tour ever? I mean, Kilkenny or Kenkilly, or whatever the place is called, a f*ckin' shithole town in the middle of nowhere...

Rain forecasted, they'll get wet to the bone in this : almost no hotels, so lots of sleeping in tents... after getting soaked on day 1, there's no more fun getting soaked on day 2 again, even if he play's WIESS backwards and If I was The Priest! And with all those local bands screaming for hours before the show, you'll need to get in very very early...

I wish all going a super weekend and I do hope it get's remembered for 2 exceptional shows and not for the rain or something else...

You have identified all the reasons for the swerve,...

Those and too much money spent on project Springsteen for this year.

15 shows in little more than a year is more than enough for my wallet (I haven't 'fessed up to the Mrs. how much I’ve spent) and my back.

.. Having said that, on my death bed I won't be saying I saw too many Springsteen shows. If a Greetings/WIESS/River show was pre-announced in an Indoor Arena anywhere in the US or Europe I would so be on that plane - Can't believe I didn't make the effort in 09.

Blessed Day

Unbunch your knickers Fonzie. It's a Bruce Springsteen weekend. He's not headlining a well-established annual event, so I doubt there will be festival-style setlists. Nobody bought tickets on the basis of the support acts.

Kilkenny may be a backwater, but it's a nice backwater. There have been what, more than 60,000 tickets sold for these two shows? I'm quite, even extremely confident very few of them will be sleeping rough due to a lack of accommodation. Why not end the tour in Ireland? Sunday marks his 13th show here since December 2007. He has made a freaking fortune out of the country in the last 6 years and the crowds are generally pretty good.

As for the possibility of rain, well blow me sideways. I hadn't realised every other Springsteen show ever played was done in the blistering heat. That must have been sundrops falling on my head in Padova.

I'm reminded of the tour closer at Shea Stadium...Think it was Rising Tour.

if my memory hasn't fully gone to hell in a hand basket it was mid late October freezing windy and raining.

True NYC is a far cry from the country of Ireland lots of places to warm up and get a good night sleep in a hotel room.

But the weather didn't dampen a single persons spirits that night.

including Bruce and the Bands.

We all know Bruce does some of his best shows when the weather sucks!! look at a few of the past Philly shows. thunder lightening rain.

Did it slow them down?

HELL NO

if anything it energized them to do even better.

my point is.....

who the hell cares.so you get a little cold for a few days being an event setting with lots of other bands  and no where nice to stay at night.

it's a closeing two nights of a good leg of this awesome tour.

And he and the band are on a strong high right now....

in the end....

being there would be totally worth everything you have to endure.

he could do a show up here in the middle of Feb (our nastiest coldest rainiest month of the year) in our Football stadium (outdoors)

and I would be there with wings on my feet and fucking bells on my shoes...

While there

If you remember this one thing I promise you a kick ass time no matter what the conditions are....

An Irishman is never drunk

As long as he can hold onto a blade of grass

And not fall off the edge of the World....

Good luck to all at the shows - hope everyone gets what they want - which would make a  bloody long show!

I'm still holding out for Take 'Em As They Come but I suspect there's going to be some real surprises tonight and tomorrow.

Weather's broken here in the UK so back on the vino for tonight's show.
