Reply to "The River ’16 – Show #4 – Jan 29, 2016 – Verizon Center, Washington, DC setlist thread"

That fellow in the wheel chair was a vet and No Surrender was his theme song on his wheel chair trek cross country to raise money for the cause.  Bobby Mueller and a bunch of vets were in the house and got a shout out. After listening to the first two shows and attending the last two.  This was easily the best so far IMHO.  Bruce really appeared to be enjoying himself they loosened up a bit and extended a couple of the album songs.  The band seemed tighter and happier.  The sound check was late and the arena staff wouldn't let anyone in until it was finished.  Froze our asses off outside.

These shows are a far cry from what we've grown accustomed to.  If this format stays the same then I don't think anyone has to go to more than a few.  Five or six songs after The River  have not changed.  So it's a bit anti climactic for me.

That being said it's still the best bang for your buck and I'm still on a rush...so go figure?
