Reply to "lack of recordings from "the rip off gigs""

Thanks for caring.  But I am very chill.  It's been a nice weekend.  I spent part of it listening to half of the show on one recording, before I realized there was an even better recording already on the street.   And so I listened to the second half of the show with much better results.  I have to admit, your post about no recordings prompted me to go search.  Voila!  Thanks!

But seriously, there are 950 people in the audience.  When there are 50,000 in a baseball park, there are probably a half-dozen tapers hard at work.  That's about 1 taper for every 8-10k fans.  I'm not surprised that he played multiple shows before a few tapes started to trickle out.  I guess you figure there are thousands of us who tape shows.  There aren't.   Certainly not all congregated in NYC.  Add metal detectors and ushers who are very watchful, and you get what you get.

You looked for evidence (few tapes) to support your hypothesis that no real fans are going to these shows - as Aesop probably would have.  But in truth, the evidence supports another hypothesis.  A)  it's hard to tape on Broadway, and B) there aren't all that many tapers in the first place.

I'm sure next is the comment that "these recordings don't sound that good anyway."  I'll save you the time.
