Pissed off with this, get disconnected all the time, cant seem to get any updates from abms.

Any ideas?

who's your isp
is abms access with them or do you buy access with Astra etc?
If you buy it from Astra have you got any Gb's left?

nope, nor an incremental one, occasionally it goes through, but that was last week.

I can get other articles from other sites, but abms, nothing.

can you download by using NZB's from ABMS?

I subscribe to Giga News. Im sure this is to do with connection.

When trying to perform a full update, it just does nothing, the download speed in the bottom right corner is 0.00 most of the time, it times out, reconnects, but progress stays ar 0.0%.

yes i was able to download a file. opened with grabit, and performed straight away

hey andy i was having the same issue..i use giganews too. then i dled newsbin for giganews..its a free trial and then i think 25 bucks as a onetime purchase..there is a link on the giganews site.....made all the difference in the world...will see if i can find the link

iwas using grabit too..but ivan pointed me in the right direction...newsbin will really help

Hi Pete, Im still not sure what went on here, I still use Grabit, have my giganews as my server, and add the files I want from the newsbin, they download immediately. The only thing Im not doing with Grabit is adding the abms group, as it simply wouldnt perform a full update.

Try deleteing ABMS from your group list, restart the program, then resubscribe to it.

It might be as simple as Grabit craping out due to Giganews having about two years retention?

whatever it is i cant download one single file without cutting out, disconnecting, now!
