IMO, it seems Viv takes the role of parent more seriously than most people give her credit for. As Bruce has said, Jessica is "on tour" also, on the horse show circuit.

I really hope she's gone from the band for good but I doubt it, the band is so much better without her catawalling, on the other hand I think Soozie has been a great addition to the band her violin adds that something extra as Suki did all those years ago.

This discussion is so old and still stupid. I miss her since she has choose to pass most of the sweden gigs lately but as already said, someone needs to be at home with the kids.

How come so many grown up men dislike her so much? The only thing people ever say is her voice and ok, it is not great _all_ the time but that goes for every artist, i mean, take a good listen to steven's voice, no one can claime that's like velvet for the ears..

There are so many great songs they have performed live togheter. First one i can think off is the brilliant disguise duet from Storytellers, so powerful! Do we really want to be without these?

Arguing with people on this board about Patti is like arguing with people about religion...or politics...or global warming! Nobody will ever change their mind about those four topics (Patti, religion, politics, global warming) regardless of how much evidence is presented or how good your arguments are. It is nonetheless entertaining.

I Think from what I've seen she's a great wife and mother and I applaud her for it, I don't dislike her personally, hell I don't even know her, I just can't stand the sound of her voice on Bruce's songs, it's out of place & ruins them completely. Steve's voice though not great compliments Bruce well & really fits the songs, but hey that just my view we're all different.

That's pretty much the same conclusion me and redbossfan agreed on as well when trying to figure this out.

As I've said I don't hate her at all, I just don't like her singing...Nothing More, Nothing Less, that doesn't mean she took Bruce away from me at all, by the sound of it she's good to him & the kids and I'm glad but it doesn't mean I have to like her background vocals does it.

Ok, now HOJO explained he/she thinks her voice ruins Bruce's songs. Your opinion, fine. I just disagree. And her voice - I've got 3 of her albums, and really like her voice, solo or with the band.

I REGRET the fact that she did not come along to Bergen this summer or to Oslo last summer.
She was in Oslo with the Seeger Sessions in 2006, though, and WHAT a GREAT role she played/sang!
